About

Hello there! My name is Eric Wetlaufer, and I’m currently a law student at the University of Illinois. Studying law is never easy, but I have my eyes set on the prize. The reason I started this blog is to help others learn about basic laws, their rights, and how to apply them in instances where they might find themselves in trouble such as when apprehended by cops.

I’m not a lawyer yet, but I see to it that whatever I learn from my classes, I share it with those who are not familiar with the law.  Pursuing a law degree has helped me develop skills like research, critical analysis, synthesis of complex ideas, presentation, and writing. I hope that my blog would showcase these skills.

Sharing the lessons I learned in my law classes is the least I can do to help others become more aware of their legal rights especially when they face tough situations.  I hope you subscribe to my blog. Thanks for stopping by!
